Our History

1961 - Foundation

Motilal Nehru Medical College was established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh with an initial intake of 100 MBBS students per year.

1975 - Hospital Expansion

The associated Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital was expanded to 500 beds, becoming a major healthcare center in the region.

1990 - Postgraduate Programs

Introduction of MD and MS programs in various specialties, enhancing our postgraduate medical education offerings.

2010 - Research Center

Establishment of the Advanced Medical Research Center with funding from the Indian Council of Medical Research.

2020 - Digital Transformation

Implementation of comprehensive digital infrastructure for e-learning, telemedicine, and hospital management systems.

Admissions

Admission Process

Admissions to Motilal Nehru Medical College are conducted through a transparent, merit-based process in accordance with the regulations of the National Medical Commission and Government of Uttar Pradesh.

Admission to MBBS program is based on NEET-UG score. Eligibility criteria:

  • Minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology in 10+2
  • Minimum age: 17 years as on December 31 of admission year
  • Valid NEET-UG scorecard
  • Domicile certificate for Uttar Pradesh quota seats

Important Dates: NEET-UG in May, Counseling in July-August

Admission to postgraduate programs is through NEET-PG. Eligibility criteria:

  • MBBS degree from recognized institution
  • Completed compulsory rotating internship
  • Valid registration with State Medical Council
  • Qualifying score in NEET-PG examination

Important Dates: NEET-PG in January, Counseling in March-April
